Carnegie Art Award3. December - 16. January, 2011

One of the largest art awards in the world, the purpose of the Carnegie Art Award is to promote Nordic contemporary painting. The bi-annual award was established in 1998. The nominees for the Carnegie Art Award 2010 are six well-known Finnish artists: Saara Ekström, Jukka Mäkelä, Jorma Puranen, Seppo Renvall, Marianna Uutinen and Hannu Väisänen. Other artists are Kjersti G. Andvig, Anastasia Ax, Tone Kristin Bjordam, Milena Bonifacini, A K Dolven, Mads Gamdrup, Felix Gmelin, Kristján Guðmundsson, Kristina Jansson, Sergej Jensen, Camilla Løw, Ylva Ogland, Torben Ribe, Sigrid Sandström, Astrid Sylwan, Egill Sæbjörnsson, Marie Søndergaard Lolk.
